Update On Rocks And Stocks News
Recently, I wrote a report about why I needed to change the business model at Rocks And Stocks News. Some took that to mean that I was going to change what I do concerning reporting, a few people even thought it meant I would stop reporting on rocks and stocks.
That will never happen because I love it. Yes, the business side of things can be challenging. But, that never takes away from my passion for the mining sector and reporting on companies looking for buried treasures.
I also wanted to point out that I don’t think enough mining companies take the importance of telling their stories seriously enough using social media sites such as X-Twitter and YouTube. They spend a lot of money on going to in-person mining companies, but those are expensive and unable to reach investors like on social media sites. It isn’t even close.
I do, as do my terrific sponsors, because we understand that investors attention is pulled in many directions. In order to keep a mining company top of mind to investors requires consistent content creation.
For me, whether a company is a sponsor or a pick, they all have to go through the same filters. Prime factors are the quality of the project and team, plus their committment to consistently telling their story using social media because it is the fastest and least costly way to immediately get content out to current and potential investors.
Those are the pillars to success that I strongly believe are required these days.
The only difference between a sponsor and a pick at Rocks And Stocks News is the frequency of content I produce about them. Picks are covered periodically, while sponsors get the full meal deal which includes coverage in my reports and regular interviews with management when important news is out.
The changes I’m working on concerning my business model are threefold. I’m talking to some new potential sponsors. Secondly, I am meeting with content distribution companies about joining forces to get my content wider distribution. Thirdly, I have revived my consulting business to offer strategic planning and content creation.
I have some good irons in the fire to bring on new sponsors. I’m very excited about the prospect of broadening the distribution of my written reports and interviews. I’m also making good headway with consulting, I love telling stories about mining companies and also strategizing with management.
Over my 30 years working in the mining business, I have been mentored by terrific geoscientists. Plus, I am a prolific content creator. These give me valuable insights that are of significant value to mining companies.
All the best,
Allan Barry Laboucan
