Benton Resources Hits High-Grade Copper In Their Deepest Hole To Date
Headline hole returned 5.51% Copper over 25.42m Including 8.31% over 9.78m.
I started covering Benton in the past couple months due to their high-grade copper exploration project in Newfoundland.
Their Great Burnt project had been drilled before, but the historical drilling was done with very small diameter drill holes. There was recovery problems with the small diameter holes and they felt that it was understating the grades.
The game changer for this project was when they went in with larger diameter drill holes to test the concept that the old holes had issues that were not accurately reporting the grade. They twinned some holes and sure enough the grades were substantially better.
In addition to twinning some holes they also did step out into areas that had shown low to no grade. They kept hitting high-grade copper.
This morning they announced their deepest hole of high-grade copper which hit 5.51% Copper over 25.42m Including 8.31% over 9.78m. I’m always on the lookout for copper exploration stories, they are hard to find.
They are onto an impressive high-grade copper exploration story. Grades and thicknesses like they have hit are hard to find in the copper exploration space.
They are cashed up, have holes pending and an exceptional copper project to drill aggresively.
All the best,
Allan
